The remainder of Mrs. Tam Pietila's morning bus route will be running a little late this morning as she drops off the first group with the small bus at school and continues on the second half of her route. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Chassell Township School will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 23 due to the predicted extreme cold and adverse winter weather conditions.
Additionally, tonight's home boys basketball game is cancelled.
An update on Mrs. Tam Pietila's afternoon bus route today, Wednesday, January 21. And again, apologies for any inconvenience.
Due to mechanical issues with her regular bus and the lack of an available regular-sized spare bus, we will need to utilize the small bus and split her PM route into two groups.
All early town drop-offs will go on Mrs. Naomi Tervo's bus.
This means that the first group will consist of Chassell-Painesdale --> Tapiola Rd --> Lake Rd. --> Aldrich Rd. --> Pike River Rd. and the drop-offs will occur slightly earlier than usual.
If your student typically rides that bus and is dropped off after the previously mentioned roads, that group will first wait at school for the first run to complete the drop offs to the reload and continue the second group.
Worham --> Fishes --> Superior --> Boundary --> Massie
If any parents would like to instead pick up their child(ren) from school, please call the office at 906-483-2132 x 404 to let Mrs. Hillstrom know. She is also currently making calls to see about these arrangements.

🏀 ❄️ Due to today’s canceled school day and uncertainty on this evening’s weather for team and spectator travel, tonight’s boys JV and Varsity basketball games originally scheduled to take place in Chassell are POSTPONED.
The new date/time for these events is Tuesday, February 10. JV at 5:45 pm with Varsity to follow. 🏀 ❄️

Chassell Township School is on a two-hour delay today, Monday, January 5 due to winter weather and road conditions. School will begin at 10:15 A.M.
"Guard me, Santa! Guard me!" It's not every day you hear the kids challenging Santa to a little pickup basketball. Grateful for all our staff who planned and facilitated our PBIS assembly to recognize our students' hard work as of late and to send them off to break with a little fun. Post-assembly, Santa had to show the middle schoolers his ups. 🎅 🏀 ❤️💚💙💛
As an update, the boys basketball games against Ironwood have been rescheduled to Monday, December 22.
JV: 4:45 PM CST | 5:45 PM EST
Varsity: 6:15 PM CST | 7:15 PM EST
Bus departure: 2:45 PM from the school
With today’s game cancellation, there will be practice after school:
JV: After school until 5:30 PM
Varsity: 5:30–7:00 PM

We're happy to announce that there is an online store now live if you'd like to purchase any Chassell Panthers Gear/Apparel 💙💛
In order to allow enough time for the items to arrive by the holidays, the store can only remain live for the next five (5) days. The store will close just before midnight this coming Sunday, November 30, so please get your orders in before then!
A portion of each sale will go toward the Chassell Parents and Teachers Together (PATT) Group, which will help to continue supporting educational and enriching opportunities for our Chassell students 🙂
All orders are processed when the store closes. Orders will be delivered to the school 2-3 weeks after the store closes for distribution.
